VIVA HATE was formed by Geoff Kresge upon his departure from Tiger Army in the Fall of 2004 with longtime friend Matt Wedgley (ex-Circus Tents, The Force). The duo began writing songs before recruiting Eric Razo (Henchmen) on guitar and Mad Dog Chad (ex-12 Step Rebels) on drums, who was replaced by Greg McEntee (Swingin' Utters) in 2006.
